At Inclusive Speech & Language Services, LLC we specialize in working with children from birth through high-school in the areas of receptive (understanding)-expressive (spoken) language, articulation or phonological disorders, and social communication skills.  We deliver quality therapy services in the comfort of your home or within community-based settings using evidence-based strategies.

RECEPTIVE AND EXPRESSIVE LANGUAGE DISORDERS

Some children have problems with understanding spoken language, speaking, or a combination of both. Children with receptive language disorders may have difficulty with following directions, answering questions, pointing to named items, and taking turns when talking to others. Children with expressive language disorders have difficulty with naming objects, asking questions, using gestures, producing sentences, tailoring his/her language to the person (i.e. talking to a parent and sibling differently) and using correct grammar.

ARTICULATION AND PHONOLOGICAL DISORDERS

Is your child unintelligible when speaking? Are you hearing sounds that are incorrectly substituted in your child's speech? We treat speech sound disorders that include erroneous phonological processes such as substitutions and distortions in production of individual speech sounds (i.e. "tat" for "cat.") that are typically eliminated between certain ages depending on the sound(s) as well as processes that affect multiple speech sounds.

SOCIAL COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Social communication (i.e. pragmatic language) is using language such as facial expression, turn-taking, gestures, topic-initiation, maintenance, etc. in a variety of social contexts with a variety of people. Does your child exhibit challenges during social interactions that negatively impacts the ability to engage socially? If so, we incorporate a variety of evidence-based treatment strategies to foster age-appropriate social skills.
